8 Fights, 8 Countries, SportPesa Brings Together Giants To Battle

This Saturday, February 26th, 2022, the Ultra Fight Series – Muay Thai Fight Night 7 will take place at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi bringing together eight countries to battle out and see who is king.

Sponsored by leading Sports Betting firm SportPesa, UFS Fight Night 7 will be a WORLD BOXING COUNCIL (WBC) Muay Thai Africa sanctioned event, headlined by homegrown Kenyan talent.

Martin Achebi (Ultra Fight Team Kenya) will defend his WBC Africa Welterweight (67kg) Title against Cape Verdian, Matias Brayan ( Siamuay Gym France).

Achebi won the title on October 9 last year when he beat an Ivorian in Abidjan to become the first Kenyan to win the title at the first-ever WBC fight held in the continent. The event will be held at the Bomas of Kenya on Saturday, February 26 from 5 pm till late.

“It’s been a long and tough journey but I have gained experience and I look forward to what the future holds for me in this sport. It’s more of a passion for me and that’s what has made me reach where I am,” Achebi stated.

The second WBC title bout will pit Javan Buyu (Ultra Fight Team Kenya) vie for the vacant WBC Africa Featherweight (57kg) title against Senegalese Salim Mbaye ( Temple Gym Bordeaux France).

A total of 8 fights will be held on the night with Fighters representing DRC, Uganda, Sudan, Morocco, Tanzania, France in addition to Cape Verde and Senegal.
