Keroche To Resume Operations After A Deal With KRA

Keroche Breweries will be allowed to resume operations after reaching a deal with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) on the tax payment plan. This comes as a sigh of relief to more than 250n employees of Keroche who were set to lose their jobs if the brewer remained closed.

“The payment plan which is contained in an addendum agreement to the two alternative dispute alternative resolution signed between Keroche Breweries and KRA was arrived at and signed on March 14, 2022, after week-long negotiations,” said KRA in a statement.

Keroche Breweries CEO Tabitha Karanja has thanked Kenya Revenue Authority for the consideration and for allowing them to resume operations even as they strive to settle the pending taxes. She said Keroche will always strive to abide by the law.
