Most of you must have come across the hashtag #KenyavsUganda, on memes and Twitter where the fire is burning. You may be wondering what’s happening between the two countries.
Well, the Twitter war started just after Rihanna announced plans to launch her Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin products in Africa later this month. A Ugandan Twitter user named Charlotte then replied to the singer’s announcement tweet writing. ‘’Why is Kenya there? They don’t even have electricity in Nairobi.”
This stirred up war between the two East African neighbours. Kenyans on Twitter were coming on top armed with answers, roasting Charlotte and her entire country under the hashtag #KenyaVsUganda. After the fire became too hot, Charlotte came out to apologize to Kenyans.
‘’Dear KOT, it was a joke…the next time I mention Kenya, I will be praising it,” she tweeted. “Kenyans, please release me; it was a joke,” she said in another tweet.
