As the August polls continue to near, various aspirants have stepped up to try their luck in various positions including the presidential seat which has recorded a large number of contestants.
So far, The Registrar of Political Parties has cleared a record of 47 Kenyans running as Independent candidates in the August General Elections.
If all of them go through the final hurdle and are cleared to contest by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), this could be Kenya’s longest presidential election ballot paper since multi-party elections in 1992.
