Safaricom is set to have a service upgrade that will run from Sunday, 1:20 am to 3:00 am and Monday 1:30 am to 3:00 am during which most services will be unavailable to customers. Safaricom says the upgrade is part of “system investment.”
“At Safaricom, we are constantly investing in our system to serve you better, to provide you with additional innovation, and to support increasing customer growth and usage,” said the giant telco.
According to the statement released by the telco, the upgrade is meant to ensure that customers get seamless services without any interruptions.
During the upgrade, the following services will not be available:
Airtime top-up and all balance inquiries
Data bundle purchase
Okoa Jahazi and Tunukiwa services
SIM Swaps
Bonga points earnings and redemption
All tariff charges including joining or leaving Safaricom Postpay.
However, all other services will be available as usual.
“The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least inconvenience to our customers. We apologize for any inconvenience,” added Safaricom.
