The top pupil in this year’s KCPE scored 431 marks out of 500. This was higher than the 428 marks that were scored by the top student in 2021. Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu Ombaki, however, disappointed many when he failed to read out the names.
Those who scored between 400 and 431 marks were 9,443 while those who scored between 300 and 399 marks were 307,756. Those who scored between 200 and 299 marks were 619,593 while those who scored between 100 and 199 were 296,336. Also, 724 pupils scored between 1 and 99 marks.
All the candidates, including the one who scored 1 mark will proceed to join secondary schools in the spirit of 100 percent transition.
Well, as we wait to find out the names, you can get the results via the SMS option, by sending the index number, followed by the initials KCPE (in capital letters) to 20076 in order to access the results.
The system would be accessible at the end of the official release of the results. The SMS platform is available for all mobile networks and will be charged 25 shillings each.
