The Kenyan shilling weakened further against the US Dollar by 0.10 percent to close at 129.59 (-5.04 percent year-to-date). It also weakened against the Pound by 0.60 percent to close at 157.64 (-6.18 percent year-to-date). Against the Euro, it weakened by 0.21 percent to close at 138.86.

Total equity turnover rose by 177.74 percent to close at USD 3.03 million (393.06 million shillings) compared to yesterday’s turnover of USD 1.09 million shillings (141.52 million shillings).

NSE 20 rose by 0.07 percent to close at 1,590.60 while NASI shed 2.75 percent to close at 110.62.

Foreign investors assumed a net selling position by accounting for 11.79% of total market purchases and 67.47% of total market sales.
