Weekly Equity Turnover Drops 35.1% To Close At Ksh 1.15 Billion

Weekly equity turnover dropped by 35.1% w-o-w to close at USD 7.88 MN (KES 1.15 BN). NSE 20 and NASI indices gained 0.2% and 0.6% w-o-w to close at 1,541.67 and 98.70 respectively.

Foreign investors assumed a net selling position by accounting for 34.4% of total market purchases and 69.6% of total market sales.

Fixed Income

Weekly bond turnover rose by 47.2% w-o-w to close at USD 96.38 MN (KES 14.08 BN). 91-day, 182-day, and 364-day T-bills rose by 25 bps, 43 bps, and 110 bps to close at 14.234%, 14.369%, and 14.860% respectively.
