Fixed Income Turnover Drops 11.7% To Ksh 1.93 Billion At The NSE

Equities turnover increased by 523.7% to KES 1035.3Mn up from KES 166Mn the previous trading day. Foreign investors were the dominant players on the day. They accounted for 78.8% of the total market turnover.

Foreign investors remained bearish on key blue chips to print net outflows of KES 330.5Mn in the day.

Safaricom Group was the most traded counter on the day – accounting for 87.1% of the total market activity. The stock’s turnover came in at KES 901.4Mn – with net outflows amounting to KES 329Mn.

Fixed Income Turnover decreased by 11.7% to KES 1.93Bn down from KES 2.18Bn the previous trading day.

The FXD segment was the highest-grossing segment of the day – accounting for 68% of trades above KES 50Mn.

IFB1/2022/018 was the most frequently traded paper of the day.
