Turnover decreased by 92.8% to KES 60.4Mn down from KES 836.8Mn the previous trading day. Local investors were the dominant players on the day. They accounted for 72.8% of the total market turnover.

Foreign investors were bearish on key blue chips to print net outflows of KES 13.09Mn in the day.

Safaricom was the most traded counter on the day – accounting for 41.5% of the total market activity. The stock’s turnover came in at KES 25.0Mn – with net outflows amounting to KES 7.9Mn.

Fixed Income Turnover increased by 1836.9% to KES 3.00Bn up from KES 0.15 Bn the previous trading day.

The FXD segment was the highest-grossing segment of the day – accounting for 71.12% of trades above KES 50Mn.

FXD1/2023/005 was the most frequently traded paper of the day.
