Kenya Power has notified of planned power outages in nine counties, scheduled for Thursday, due to essential maintenance work. The areas affected span across Nairobi, Makueni, Kajiado, Migori, Homa Bay, Nyeri, Embu, Mombasa, and Kilifi.
In Nairobi, the power cuts will affect parts of Riverside Drive, several embassies and commissions, educational institutions, and residential areas including Riverside Residency and adjacent locales.
Makueni will see outages in areas such as Itangini Market, Kisau Girls, and surrounding places. In Kajiado, regions including Kitengela and adjacent areas will experience interruptions.
Migori’s affected areas include Uriri and its surroundings, extending to places like Nyasare and Pinnacle Plaza. Homa Bay’s list includes Olodo, Rusinga Island, and nearby regions.
In Nyeri, power disruptions are planned for Kirichu Market, Kagumo High School, and neighboring areas. Embu’s scheduled outages cover Mayori, Irambari, and surrounding regions.
Mombasa’s power cuts will affect places like Harambee Estate, Shauri Yako, and adjacent locations. Finally, Kilifi’s power interruptions will be experienced in areas like Bofa, Baobab Hotel, and neighboring customers.
Residents and businesses in these regions are advised to plan accordingly for the scheduled power interruptions.
