The local currency strengthened by 0.05% against the US Dollar to close at 131.49 (15.96% year-to-date). The shilling has been gaining momentum against the US Dollar in the past month.
GBP|KES
The Kenyan shilling, at the same time, strengthened by 0.66% to close at 165.13 (17.35% year-to-date) against the British Pound.
EUR|KES Against the Euro, the shilling strengthened by 0.48% to close at 141.42 (18.62% year-to-date).

Kenyan Stock Market
Total equity turnover rose by 57.61% to close at USD 3.54 MN (KES 465.76 MN) compared to yesterday’s turnover of USD 2.25 MN (KES 295.67 MN).
NSE 20 eased by 0.40% to close at 1751.50 and NASI rose by 1.07% to close at 114.05.
Foreign investors assumed a net buying position by accounting for 64.97% of total market purchases and 64.03% of total market sales.
