Exchange Rate Performance
The Kenyan shilling remained relatively unchanged against the US Dollar to end the day on Monday at 129.20 (17.43 percent year-to-date). The local currency weakened against the British Pound by 0.11 percent to close at 168.75 (15.54 percent year-to-date).
Against the Euro, the Kenyan Shilling strengthened by 0.10 percent to close at 141.15 (18.78 percent year-to-date).

Kenyan Stock Market
Total equity turnover eased by 79.86 percent to close at USD 0.53 MN (KES 68.30 MN) compared to Friday’s turnover of USD 2.63 MN (KES 339.18 MN).
NSE 20 and NASI rose by 1.15 and 1.04 percent to close at 1,827.40 and 111.27 respectively.
Foreign investors assumed a net buying position by accounting for 31.82% of total market purchases and 7.24% of total market sales.
