Kenya Airways Now The Official Airline Partner for Magical Kenya Travel Expo

Kenya Airways

Kenya Airways (KQ) has been unveiled as the official airline partner of the 2024 Magical Kenya Travel Expo, which runs from October 1–3 in Nairobi.

Speaking at the event, Rose Kiseli, General Manager of Sales at Kenya Airways, highlighted the airline’s critical role in supporting Kenya’s tourism industry, noting that it transports about five million passengers annually, many of whom are international visitors.

To enhance the travel experience, KQ has partnered with Safarilink Aviation through a codeshare agreement that enables tourists to seamlessly connect from international destinations to Kenya’s world-renowned national parks. Under the arrangement, Kenya Airways flies passengers into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), facilitates their transfer to Wilson Airport, and Safarilink completes the journey to the chosen park—all on a single booking.

KQ is also revitalizing and expanding its fleet to accommodate the growing number of international travelers and support Kenya’s tourism agenda. Kiseli further noted that the airline intends to tap into the United Nations’ growing presence in Nairobi, which is boosting opportunities for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism in the country.

The Magical Kenya Travel Expo, organized by the Kenya Tourism Board, is one of the largest tourism fairs in the region, attracting travel trade partners and buyers from across the globe.
