On 1st October 2025, NCBA Bank partnered with Ahadi Kenya Trust, Ushiriki Wema, Vinearc Village, and the Nairobi County Government to commemorate the International Day of Older Persons in Dagoretti South.

The event, held in line with this year’s global theme “Older persons driving local and global action; our aspirations, our well-being and our rights,” brought together 300 senior citizens to celebrate their invaluable contribution to shaping families and communities.

Through this collaboration, NCBA Bank staff and volunteers joined other stakeholders in distributing food, blankets, mattresses, diapers, and other essential supplies to the elderly. The initiative was a demonstration of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to creating sustainable and inclusive communities under its #NCBAChangeTheStory pledge.

“It’s never too late to make a difference. This International Day of Older Persons, we joined hands with our heroes of the day to plant trees, leaving a lasting mark for generations to come,” NCBA said in a post. We are celebrating & honouring 300 senior citizens from Dagoretti South Constituency. We’re guided by this year’s theme ‘Older persons driving local & global action; our aspirations, our well-being & our rights.”

The event also reinforced the collective call for society to recognize and safeguard the rights, well-being, and dignity of older persons. By standing with the elderly, NCBA and its partners underscored that the strength of a community lies in valuing every generation and ensuring no one is left behind.
