How Smart Living Is Being Redefined Through Samsung’s 2025 AI TVs

Samsung Electronics has unveiled its 2025 lineup of AI-powered televisions, positioning the new devices as intelligent home companions rather than mere entertainment screens.

Speaking in Nairobi, Sam Odhiambo, Head of Consumer Electronics Business Kenya, said the new Samsung AI TVs—powered by Samsung Vision AI and fully integrated with the expanded SmartThings ecosystem—are designed to simplify everyday living for Kenyan households.

Odhiambo said the concept of “Smart Living” for Samsung centres on transforming the television into an intuitive digital hub that adapts to users’ environments and habits. With sensors that analyse ambient conditions and on-device neural networks that process content in real time, the 2025 Samsung AI TVs automatically optimise picture, sound, and user experience.

Artificial Intelligence sits at the heart of the new models. Odhiambo explained that Vision AI enables a suite of advanced features such as Click to Search, Live Translate, and AI Upscaling Pro, which enhance both content discovery and viewing quality. Beyond entertainment, the TVs now function as command centres for connected homes, thanks to their inbuilt SmartThings Hub. Users can automate routines—such as syncing sound systems when a movie begins—and manage a range of smart home devices directly from the TV interface.

As connected living becomes more widespread, Odhiambo noted that Samsung has placed a strong emphasis on data security. The TVs are protected by Samsung Knox, the company’s defence-grade security framework, which extends to all SmartThings-linked devices. “Our goal is to ensure that as your TV becomes a smarter, more integrated node in your home, your data and privacy remain safeguarded,” he said.

The company believes the technology aligns closely with Kenyan consumer habits, where smart connectivity, premium entertainment experiences, and modern design are increasingly sought after. The new Vision AI TVs deliver richer content engagement and seamless device integration tailored to these preferences.

Looking ahead, Odhiambo said Samsung envisions a future where televisions not only display content but also understand context, anticipate user needs, and operate as fully intelligent household companions. “Expect TVs that learn your habits, adapt across devices, and give you more time for what matters: life, family, and experiences,” he said.
