Rispar Olick Sworn In As Independent Director to KRA Board

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has appointed Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, FCBA Rispar Olick, as an Independent Director to its Board of Directors.

Ms. Olick was formally sworn in on Thursday, January 22, at the Supreme Court of Kenya. KRA Secretary General Humphrey Wattanga and KRA Board Chair Mr. Ndiritu Muriithi witnessed the ceremony.

Her appointment brings on board a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and public sector oversight, key competencies, as KRA continues to strengthen its institutional framework and enhance revenue administration.

Speaking after taking the oath of office, Ms. Olick reaffirmed her commitment to public service and adherence to the rule of law.

“I am honoured by the trust placed in me and fully cognisant of the responsibility that comes with this role. I commit to working diligently and delivering in accordance with the mandate given to me by the law, while upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism,” said Ms. Olick.

KRA Board Chair Mr. Ndiritu Muriithi welcomed the appointment, noting that Ms. Olick’s legal expertise and governance experience will be instrumental in supporting the Authority’s strategic objectives. He challenged her to utilize her skills in improving KRA by ensuring that the set agendas are achieved.

The appointment of independent directors forms part of KRA’s broader governance framework aimed at strengthening oversight, transparency, and accountability in the management of Kenya’s revenue collection agency.
