The Boards of Directors and Management of Pwani Oil Products Ltd, Trufoods Ltd, and Kartasi Ltd have announced the passing of board member Rajan Rameshchandra Malde.

Mr. Malde died on Friday, March 6, 2026, in Nairobi at the age of 48.

In a statement released by the companies, the boards described his death as a profound loss to the organisations and to the many people who worked with him during his tenure.

“Throughout his time with us, Mr. Malde demonstrated unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and a deep sense of purpose. His guidance helped shape the direction of our companies, and his contributions will remain a lasting part of our institutional legacy,” the statement read.

Mr. Malde served as an esteemed member of the boards of the three companies, where he played a key role in guiding strategy and strengthening the organisations’ operations.

Family, friends, colleagues, and members of the public were informed that the cortege departed from the Oshwal Centre along Ring Road in Parklands on Sunday, March 8, 2026.

The cremation was scheduled to take place at the Hindu Shamshan Bhumi in Kariokor later the same afternoon.

The boards, management, and staff of the companies extended their deepest condolences to Mr. Malde’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Pwani Oil Products, one of Kenya’s leading edible oil manufacturers headquartered in Mombasa, said Mr. Malde’s leadership and dedication would remain an enduring part of the company’s legacy.
