Who Said We Are Leaving The Kenyan Market? – Bolt

Bolt has dismissed reports circulating on social media alleging that it plans to cease operations in Kenya, describing the claims as false and misleading.

The company said it had become aware of a fraudulent document falsely presented as an official communication from Bolt Kenya. The fake notice claimed that the company would stop operating in the Kenyan market effective June 8, 2026.

Bolt categorically denied the claims, emphasizing that the document did not originate from the company or any of its authorized representatives. The firm reassured its driver-partners, customers, and stakeholders that its operations across Kenya remain unaffected and fully functional.

The company further disclosed that it has launched investigations into the source of the fabricated communication and indicated that it will pursue appropriate action against those responsible for creating and spreading the misinformation.

“Bolt Kenya remains fully operational and committed to serving our driver-partners and customers across the country,” the company stated, reiterating its focus on providing safe, reliable, and innovative mobility services while continuing to create economic opportunities for thousands of Kenyans who depend on the platform.

The clarification comes amid growing concerns over the rapid spread of misinformation through social media and messaging platforms, where unverified documents can quickly gain traction and create uncertainty among consumers and business partners.

To prevent further confusion, Bolt urged members of the public to disregard the circulating document and avoid sharing or amplifying the false information. The company advised customers and driver-partners to rely only on official communications issued through its verified channels, including its website, verified social media pages, and the Bolt application.

The company also encouraged stakeholders seeking clarification on company matters to contact its communications team directly and follow official platforms for accurate updates.
