Crown Berger gains 9.42 percent to emerge highest market gainer

The NSE 20 and NASI index declined by 28.23 points and 0.82 points respectively to close at 5,042.52 and 170.65.

The highest market gainer was Crown Berger gaining 9.42 percent to close at KES 151.00, Eaagads emerged the top loser,shedding 8.33 percent to close the day at KES 33.00.

The volume of shares traded declined by 46.86 percent compared to Friday’s volume to close at 25.99mn, total turnover also dipped by 34.10 percent to close at KES 645.19mn. Equity Group was the
overall market mover with a turnover of KES 196.98mn representing 30.53 percent of total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 53.17 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 71.45 percent of total turnover.

EAC Markets

Uganda: The USE ALSI and USE LSI rose by 0.03 percent and 0.01 percent respectively to close at 1,971.02 and 325.63. A total of 2.55mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close
of UGX 87.33mn.

Rwanda: The RSE ALSI and RSE RSI declined by 1.25 and 0.25 respectively to close at 225.36 and 136.24. Total number of shares traded today was 5.02mn shares. Total turnover come to a close of 1.48bn.

Tanzania: The DSEI declined by 0.86 percent to close at 2,740.64 while DSE TSI rose by 0.05 percent to close at 4,721.70. National Micro finance Bank was the top gainer of the day gaining 0.28 percent to close at TZS 3,610. African Barrick Gold was the top loser declining by 1.38 percent each to close at 8,590.00.Total volumes were recorded at 612,665 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 5.21bn.
