Unga Group declines by 5.26 percent to emerge top loser

The NSE 20 declined by 0.76 points to close at 4744.66 while the NASI index gained 0.29 points to close at 162.65. Eaagads gained 10.00 percent to close the day at KES 33.00 to become today’s top gainer. Unga Group declined by 5.26 percent to emerge top loser closing the day at KES 45.00.

The volume of shares traded shed 27.96 percent to close at 19.97mn.Total turnover rose by 15.08 percent to close at KES 655.70mn. KCB Bank was the largest mover of the day with a turnover of KES 157.43mn representing 24.01 percent of total market turnover.

Foreign buys stood at 65.98 percent of total turnover, while foreign sales stood at 72.03 percent of total turnover.

Uganda: The USE ALSI declined by 2.03 percent to close at 1,920.16 while the USE LSI remained constant close at 324.36. A total of 2.79mn shares were traded today. Total turnover came to a close of UGX 576.64mn.

Rwanda: The RSE ALSI and RSE RSI edged up by 1.21 percent and 0.30 percent to close at 224.02 and 136.18 respectively. Total number of shares traded today was 23,400 shares. Total turnover come to a close of RWF 6.58mn.

Tanzania: The DSEI and DSE TSI rose by 0.06 percent and 0.17 percent to close at 2,793.34 and 4,720.74. Swissport Tanzania was the top gainer of the day, gaining 2.69 percent to close at TZS
6,500.00. Africa Barrick Gold was the top loser declining by 1.18 percent to close at TZS 9,220.00. Total volumes were recorded at 380,510 shares. Total turnover closed at TZS 5.29bn.
