MultiChoice Adds More Channels to DStv Bouquets

From 1st October 2015, Kenyan subscribers on Premium, Compact Plus and Compact will be spoiled for choice when DStv adds more entertainment channels to their packages.
Subscribers on Compact Plus will now have Cheebies, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Brit in addition to enjoying the Open Week (from 28 September – 2 October) of Comedy Central (on DStv channel 122) for Trevor Noah’s debut on The Daily Show added to their list of channels.
Plus subscribers will now also have access to TCM on DStv channel 137 and MTV on DStv channel 130 -which also I available to Compact bouquet subscribers.
DStv has also launched a new Tanzania-tailored channel Maisha Magic Bongo that will air on all packages.
TCM on DStv channel 137 will have a refreshed look, a new feel and an updated programming slate. By introducing this major change in the channel´s tone, brand image and programming strategy, the TCM experience has initiated a whole new level of quality entertainment. Blockbuster fans are now able to benefit from a host of original titles stemming right from the most prestigious Hollywood studios. Prime time and weekend specials have also been rejuvenated to include explosive action-blocks, chilling thriller specials and frontier-pushing sci-fi events.

By ensuring that channels and content are effectively organized and structured to offer the ultimate solution to home television entertainment, each bouquet will continue to offer a channel combination specifically designed for the subscriber needs and preferences,” said Walingo Chiruyi, General Manager of MultiChoice Kenya.
This October, TCM has integrates of seasonal events such as Halloween where horror film fans will be treated to some of the most terrifying movies of all time along with an exciting array of new film titles and themed programming in the upcoming months. Horror will be served every Saturday at 23:00 EAT creating suspense to end October with a shuddering horror marathon, giving goose bumps throughout all Saturday, the 31st of October. Viewers can also look forward to an exclusive in-house documentary about George Lucas will launch this December to celebrate the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, with many more acquisitions to come.
Compact and Compact Plus subscribers will also now be able to feast their eyes on MTV on DStv channel 130, just in time to catch the2015 MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) which will broadcast live across Africa on Sunday 25 October at 24:00 EAT from the Mediolanum Forum in Milan. Viewers will have a front-row seat from the comfort of their own homes to watch as South Africa’s AKA, Nigeria’s Yemi Alade and Davido and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz battle it out in the Best African Act category.
