What is Shupavu 291?
Shupavu 291 is a mobile Short Message Service study tool from Safaricom that enables students from class five to eight to get access to Kenya Certificate of Primary Education KCPE aligned content tutorials and questions.
This service enables students to easily take questions, search for subjects as well as topics to study and at the same time getting access to WIKIPEDIA summaries without requiring any connection to the internet.
This service is not for the student alone, teachers and parents too can be able to check reports on individual student performance as well as school performance via an SMS.
All this services are offered at a flat rate of 30 shillings for unlimited usage of the platform per month and therefore, it is efficient and affordable.
The most invigorating aspect of Shupavu 291 is the ASK A TEACHER feature. This is whereby students ask questions remotely to a live teacher.
To be able to use the service, students have to send an SMS starting with the work ASK followed by a space, then a question to 20851 and it is open from 7pm to 9pm.
