Say Goodbye to the Tiresome Manual Procurement Ways

BY · October 8, 2015 07:10 am

Government procurement is now online thanks to the Integrated Finance Management Information system (IFMIS) that has now ushered in a new era of a fully automated procurement process from requisition, tendering, contract awarding all the way to payment.

The shift from manual to e-procurement makes public procurement more efficient and effective and, in the process, enhancing visibility and accountability at all levels of the procurement process for the benefit of all Kenyans.

As a supplier you need to fulfill the following requirements in order to qualify for electronic procurement:

  • Ensure that your business entity or company is registered with the registrar of companies
  • The business entity or company must have a tax compliance certificate and PIN number from Kenya Revenue Authority.
  • For companies owned by youth, women and persons with disabilities ensure that you have the access to government procurement opportunities (AGPO) Certificate.

IFMIS is the way to go.
