The top gainer of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange was KenolKobil Limited with a positive deviation of 9.94 percent closing the day at a price of 9.40 shillings per share.

Mumias Sugar Company is the second among the top gainers of the day posting a positive change of 9.68 percent at a price of 1.70 shillings per share.

Williamson Tea Kenya limited has been on a losing end the better part of this week. Today, the company takes the top position as the top loser with a negative deviation of 9.27 percent at a price of 235.00 shillings per share.

Williamson Tea Kenya Limited has been closely followed by Liberty Kenya Holdings Limited which has registered a negative change of 9.14 percent at a price of 16.40 shillings per share.

Uchumi Supermarket Limited is the top mover of the day followed by Safaricom Limited. Uchumi had a total volume of 5.00 million and a market capital of 3.28 billion while Safaricom Limited had a total volume of 3.32 million and a market capital of 645.05 billion.

Mumias sugar and KenolKobil, apart from being among the top gainers of the day, their shares were also among the most traded in today. Mumias Sugar posted a volume of 2.17 million and a market capital of 2.60 billion while KenolKobil recorded a volume of 2.11 million and a market capital of 13.83 billion. Co-operative Bank of Kenya Limited had a volume of 1.16 million and a market capital of 82.38 billion.
