Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and people are planning to lavish their loved ones with gifts and presents.

Valentine’s Day is a global celebration of love and is a day set aside for loved ones to celebrate their love with family and friends.

This is a day that almost all the streets around the world are often painted red with both men and women smartly dressed in red as a sign of love.

During this day, business are expected to boom all around the globe and Kenya is no exception. Already the tourism sector is experiencing a boost both from within and without as both local and international tourists flock mainly the Coast to celebrate this day. Most of the hotels have already been booked for the day.

Flowers are usually the hot cake for this day. Almost everyone buys flowers on this day especially the red roses. Those who deal in flowers usually reap big on the Valentine’s Day with the sales expected to go up this season. Flowers from the country, apart from being sold locally, the demand from other countries is already high and the exports are on the increase.

Greeting cards comes in second as the most item to be sold during these day. Most people often prefer greeting cards because of the messages encrypted on them to their loved ones. Already the business of selling cards is booming in the supermarkets as people are buying them in large numbers.

The night out this time is expected to be higher than any other years and the hotel industry is going to benefit a lot from this. This is where loved ones choose to spent their night out mostly in a hotel to celebrate their love.

The beer industry has always benefitted from Valentine’s Day. It is like a tradition for most people to always celebrate their love over a bottle of beer. Anyone can make money during this day. What matters is what one chooses to sell.
