Dry Beans Retailing Highest in Eldoret

Dry maize retail prices were highest in Kisumu were a 90kg bad was being sold at Sh.3,200 while the same quantity was being sold at Sh.2,400 in Mombasa from Sh.2,700. In Nairobi, the bag went at Sh.2,700 from Sh.2,500 early this month. In Eldoret, the 90kg bag prices shot up and was being retailed at Sh.2,500 from Sh.2,200. Green maize was being retailed at Sh.5,600 in Mombasa, where it happened to be the highest as compared to other market prices in other towns. The following table summarizes the prices in various towns:
