Kenya’s Judiciary has established a new court station at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and the Wilson Airport.

The Court will handle traffic and drug related cases that were dealt at Kibera and the Makadara law Courts.

Chief Justice, Dr. Willy Mutunga says, The Court will be a major boost to service delivery in Nairobi as it will ensure proper management of exhibits to avoid tampering with evidence.

“The delay of cases in our court system has often contributed to some people skipping bail. There is also the destruction of evidence such as what happened when a terminal caught fire at JKIA a few years back,” he said in a speech read on his behalf by Principal Judge Richard Mongo.

The new court will have one magistrate and six members of staff.
