Carrots Retailing Highest in Kitale

At how much are horticultural products retailing in your area? Such are the products that we cannot do without in our daily meals and some of them seem to be in their low seasons thus the high market prices currently being experienced.

There has been reduced tomato supply in most towns in the country which has made the price to shoot up as one is being sold for at least Sh.10. The commodity’s highest market price happens to be Sh.8,500 for a 64kg bag while the minimum price being Sh.6,000 of the same quantity. Spring onions on the other hand retailed at a maximum of Sh.1,560 for every 13kg net while the minimum price being Sh.850.

A 126kg bag of cabbages was being sold at Sh.4900 in Mombasa while the same retailed at Sh.1000 in Nakuru. Carrots on the other hand retailed at Sh.7000 for a 138kg bag.
