Njahi Retailing Highest in Mombasa; Cheapest in Eldoret

Dry Maize is retailing at Sh.2,900 for a 90kg bag in Mombasa while the same goes at Sh.2,600 in Eldoret.

Finger millet on the other hand is being sold at Sh.7,200 for every 90kg bag in Kisumu and Eldoret respectively. The same was being retailed at Sh.7,000 in Nairobi, Sh.6,300 in Mombasa and Sh.5,800 in Nakuru. The highest market price is Sh.7,200 while the lowest is Sh.5,800, giving a difference of Sh.1,400.

Green maize and sorghum are also available in most markets across the country though the prices tend to vary from town to town. Here is a summary of the same:

On the other hand, market prices for different types of beans seem to be varying too from town to town. The highet market price for a 90kg bag of Canadian beans is Sh.8,000 while the lowest is Sh.5000. Highest market price for Rosecoco beans is Sh.7,650, while the same goes cheapest at Sh.5000.

Groundnuts prices are still high for a 110kg bag across the country since the highest is 13,750 while the lowest is Sh.11,700. Here is the summary of the same:
