Sinapis Annual Graduation Ceremony and Business Plan Competition

Sinapis will be holding their 2016 Annual Graduation Ceremony and Business Plan Competition on Saturday, July 9th 2016. The event is set to start off from 8am to 5 pm at the PrideInn Centre, Westlands.

This is the third Annual Graduation Ceremony and Business Plan Competition that Sinapis have been organizing. During the competition, a group of competitive invited judges will preside over the whole process until when a winner is determined, who walks home with $10,000 in seed funding. These judges will also take those who will have graduated over some of the things they should expect when venturing into their entrepreneurial journey.

The competition is for the eligible graduates, who have gone through the Sinapis training program. The top ten finalists in the business plan competition will thereafter be invited to join the Sinapis fast track fellows program while the overall winner will be awarded with $10,000. The fast track fellows program provides 6 months of support in the form of consulting, access to mentors & experts, and opportunities to compete for seed capital.

Last year, the Event took place on the 10th of May at the Strathmore University Auditorium. Out of the 63 participants who had completed the course, 10 finalists with exceptional business ideas were given the opportunity to pitch their business ideas at the Business Plan Competition.

Upon completion of the program, members of each graduating class are invited to submit their business proposals to Sinapis. After a thorough selection process, entrepreneurs with the most innovative and scalable ideas proceed to Sinapis’ annual Business Plan Competition, a live pitching event that brings together business owners, investors and other individuals in the entrepreneur ecosystem.
