KCB to Close Down Its Branches For System Upgrade

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) customers will not be able to access the bank’s financial services from Friday 12th August to Sunday 14th, this month.

According to the statement posted on the bank’s website, KCB Bank will be undertaking a system upgrade on these days and all the systems will be closed.

The statement says that all the KCB branches will be closed to the public on these days from Friday 3:00pm to Sundaymidnight.

The service will, however, come back to the normal on Monday August 15th 2016, from 8:00am in what the bank says will be a renewed service delivery.

Which services will be available during the Bank closure period?

According to the bank’s official statement, the following Channels and services will be available for Customers to transact:

  1. KCB ATM and Mobile Banking *522# and App: – Balance enquiries – Transfer from KCB to M-PESA – Cash Withdrawals
  2. Point of Sale (POS) Card Payments available.
  3. KCB M-PESA – Balance enquiries – Transfers from Bank to M-PESA.
