Kenyans Quest for Effective, Ethical Leaders and Brands

Trust is a consistent struggle in our day to day lives, be it at the workplace, home, leadership or among us. In all these avenues, trust is a key entity that is relied upon to make things work efficiently and effectively.
Without trust, it is not easy to learn the truth on what is really going on in that organization, among individuals and in the market place.
New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author of The Speed of Trust Stephen M. R. Covey is in Kenya for a two days seminar which begun on Tuesday to speak on trust.
“In today’s low-trust world, trust is the new currency of our global economy.” said Stephen M. R. Covey. “It is the foundation driver for an organization’s sustained success. A loss of trust will not only damage internal and external relationships, it will also dramatically affect the speed at which you can move and the cost of everything. On the other hand, the dividends of high trust are tangible and real and they translate into economic advantage.”
In the Kenyan context, 94 percent of citizens believe that trust a key ingredient in any form of relationship, personal or business compared to 6 percent who say it is not.
