Safaricom to Open More Retail Shops as Part of its Regional Strategy

Safaricom (NSE: SCOM) has officially opened the refurbished Safaricom shop in Naivasha. Located along the busy Biashara Street, the shop will now offer residents of Naivasha, Gilgil and the environs access to all Safaricom services, including a wide range of 3G and 4G devices.

Speaking during the opening of the shop, Safaricom’s Director for Regional Sales and Operations, Steve Okeyo noted, “Safaricom remains focused on offering the best experience to our customers. As part of our regional strategy, we continue to expand on our network through the roll out of new sites and to increase our customer delivery channels. We have revamped the Naivasha shop to not only offer all Safaricom services and products, but to provide the best experience to customers visiting the outlet.”

Safaricom’s 45 shops are spread across the firm’s six regions: the Nairobi Regions have 20 shops, while North Eastern and Mt. Kenya have 7 shops. The Coast Region, Rift Region and the Western/ Nyanza Region each have 6 shops.
