In line with what has been circulating around on social media platform concerning the involvement of Commercial Bank of Africa and the drug case, the bank has come out to clarify the issue.

The statement from the bank reads, “Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) wishes to clarify that it received a request from a client, a legal firm, to issue to Kibera Law Court bank guarantees in the amount of 140 million shillings in respect of an on-going court case. CBA’s involvement is limited to giving the guarantee reqested by its client to the Court and CBA itself is not a surety.”
