Green Grams Retailing Cheapest in Nakuru

The market price for finger millet was a bit high in most towns as a 90kg bag retailed at Sh.9,000 in Isiolo, Sh.7,200 in Nairobi, Kisumu and Eldoret respectively, Sh.6,300 in Mombasa, Sh.5,800 in Nakuru and Sh.4,500 in Kitale.

On the other hand, dry maize retailed at Sh.3,200 in Kisumu, which was the highest market price for a 90kg bag. In other towns, it was going as follows, Sh.3150 in Isiolo, Sh.3,000 in Nairobi and Mombasa, Sh.2,700 in Nakuru, Sh.2,600 in Eldoret and Sh.2,500 Kitale

Green grams and groundnuts had the highest market prices as compare to other types of legumes. This was seen where the highest price for green grams was Sh.10,800 for a 90kg bag while cheapest at Sh.8,000. A 90kg bag of groundnuts on the other hands was being retailed highest at Sh.15,000 and lowest at Sh.1,200 in Nakuru.

This means that for anyone wishing to purchase groundnuts, Nakuru is the place to go as the market price is very friendly as compared to other towns where the same goes for not less that Sh.10,000. Here is a summary of the same:
