Dry Maize Retailing Highest in Kisumu; Lowest in Kitale

The market price for dry maize has been stable for the last couple of days in the country. In Kitale, a 90kg bag of dry maize is retailing at 2,300 shillings, 2,600 shillings in Eldoret, 2,400 shillings in Nakuru, 3,400 shillings in Kisumu, 3,000 shillings in Mombasa and 2,800 shillings in Nairobi.

A 115kg bag of finger millet on the same hand is retailing as follows in the market across the country: 6,300 shillings in Mombasa, 4,950 shillings in Kitale, 7,200 shillings in Eldoret, 5,000 shillings in Nakuru and 6,800 shillings in Kisumu.

Groundnuts are still a bit scarce across the country since the market price for a 110kg bag in all towns are above 10,000 shillings. Mombasa has the highest market price of 15,400 shillings while Kisumu has the lowest of 10,000 shillings.
