Naomi Kamau has cut a niche for herself as Kenya’s leading television Producer/ script writer. Many a programme on TV we have watched and loved, but have never wondered where the wonderful stories originate from. Her goal is to always share experiences and entertain audiences. Naomi Kamau is a force to reckon with in the Kenyan entertainment industry. One recent online article called her the ‘iron lady’ of the Kenyan entertainment industry-‐ with several projects in the works this lady shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon
Winnie Ngumi is the Managing Director of Space and Style Ltd, a Kenyan company that has been in operation since 2002. After graduating with a Bachelors of Architecture in 2000, Winnie started the company that has since grown to be at the forefront of supply of specialized building solutions in the region.
Her passion for architecture has pushed Winnie to work towards transforming the male-dominated industry. Her efforts paid off when she got recognition from AAK QS chapter for her role as a woman spearheading change in the construction industry in Kenya. Some of her other achievements include; the Golden Tile awarded in 2009 after her company sold the first one million tiles — an achievement only four other distributors globally had achieved. Winnie was also recognized for pioneering a training programme for roofing installers that has seen more than1,500 fundis being certified countrywide.
Through hard-work and determination, Winnie has steered Space and Style into a market-leader in the construction materials market. She has seen the company secure the sole distributorship deal for Decra Roofing Tiles, the world’s largest and the original producer of the best quality stone-coated steel roofing tiles in the world.

Terryanne Chebet is a Senior Anchor and Associate Business News Editor at Citizen TV. Chebet is also a moderator, poem writer and speaker, having facilitated key national and state business and economic events.

Emily Wanja is a producer based in Nairobi Kenya. An alumni of Cinemart Producers lab Netherlands, she has produced several films including the short film ‘Burnt Forest,’ a USA, Singapore and Kenya co-production nominated for Best short film at the 2013 Africa Academy Movie Awards and co-produced A fork, A spoon, A night’, a short film by director Mira Nair, commissioned by the Tribeca Film Institute to celebrate the spirit of Nelson Mandela. She is the producer of several TV shows on NTV and Ebru TV notably Seeds of Gold on NTV which is primarily about youth, agribusiness and farming technologies today. She is the supervising producer for DOCUBOX (East Africa Documentary Film Fund), and the director of OWNA movie LTD- ownamovie.co.ke
Appie Matere is the woman behind some of Kenya’s leading film and TV productions and the Producer at Zamaradi Productions. When she landed in Nairobi, Appie’s took hawking as her first job but through great passion and focus, she is today working with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry and producing award-winning films. She has worked with Judy on Killer Necklace as a producer and also produced the award-winning feature documentary, Headlines in History, which won the Best Feature documentary at the Kalasha awards. Recently, she was contracted to do 71 movies in six months by Africa Magic/ MNET.

He has been a strong proponent on the value of Mentorship of young entrepreneurs viewing them as a critical interface between job creation and poverty eradication in emerging markets.
Mr. Gichuru’s contribution in establishing the startup business ecosystem in Kenya, through Nailab, has been significant and as a result he was invited as a key speaker during the 2015 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), held in Nairobi and officiated by The President of The United States, Barack Obama. Sam was instrumental in setting the stage and discussing the importance of specialty incubators and the key role innovation hubs play in the success of a startup business.
A Rotarian, he has prior experience in ICT having worked in 3 major Internet Service Providers.Sam currently serves on the board of several startups and is also an angel investor. He is also serving as a board member of AKVO, Nailab and KITOS (Kenya’s IT and outsourcing Services Body).
