Tomato Prices Expected to Rise in December

Tomatoes had a high supply in the  markets in the past three months, but with the heavy rains being experienced currently it is expected to decline as a result, a rise in price.

Currently, 64 kilogram bag is being sold at 5,800 shillings in Eldoret, 5,000 shillings in Nairobi, 4,300 shillings in Mombasa, 4,000 in Kitale , 3,500 in Kisumu and 2,500 in Nakuru.

A 126 kilogram bag of cabbages is retailing at 2,100 shillings in Mombasa, as the highest market price.The same is retailing as follows: 1,800 shillings in Kitale, 1,400 shillings in Nairobi and 1,200 shillings in Kisumu, Eldoret and Nakuru respectively.
