Kofinaf Company Limited, one of Kenya’s largest coffee growers, will transfer management of its coffee estates, including the Milling and Marketing Operations, to Coffee Management Services (CMS), a leading agribusiness service provider.

As part of its long-term commitment to coffee growing in Kiambu County, from 1 February 2017 Kofinaf’s 3,326 acres (1,346 hectares) of coffee plantations will be taken over by CMS, providing Kofinaf’s business with improved coffee productivity, quality and broader market linkages leading to better coffee prices. The new arrangement will also lead to improved negotiating position for agro inputs and other services thereby increasing efficiencies.

Kofinaf Ltd is owned by Rendeavour, an urban land developer in Africa that is leading the development of Tatu City, a mixed-use satellite city project near Nairobi.

Kofinaf’s management transfer to CMS does not include the Eaagads estates.
