Sorghum Retailing Highest in Eldoret and Lowest in Nairobi

A 90-kilogram bag of sorghum has been retailing 6,700 shillings in Eldoret, 5,000 shillings in Meru, 4,800 shillings in Kisumu, 4,500 shillings in Mombasa, 4,200 shillings in Nairobi and 4,000 shillings in Nakuru.

A 90-kilogram bag of dry maize has maintained its high market prices following the ongoing drought that has affected most parts of the country. The cereal was retailing highest in Kisumu at 4,800 shillings, 4,500 shillings in Nairobi and Mombasa respectively, 3,800 shillings in Meru and 3,600 shillings in Nakuru and Eldoret respectively.

A 110-kilogram bag of groundnuts was being sold as follows: 17,600 shillings in Meru, 16,500 shillings in Mombasa, 13,800 shillings in Nairobi, 13,750 shillings in Nakuru, 12,600 shillings in Eldoret and 11,200 shillings in Kisumu.

A 90-kilogram bag of Njahi on the other hand had a highest market price of 10,800 shillings in Eldoret and lowest in Mombasa and Nakuru at 9,000 shillings.
