Public Servants Directed to Report to Work

All public servants have been directed to report back to their work stations with immediate effect.

A statement from the Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service Joseph Kinyua to all Principal Secretaries stated that the move comes after a successful and peaceful General Elections.

“Following the successful and peaceful conduct of the General Elections on 8th August 2017, all public servants are now required to report back to their work stations with immediate effect,” read the statement.

The statement further noted that respective Principal Secretaries will be required to forward names of all public servants who will have reported to work in their respective ministries and departments by close of business 11th August 2017.

The government had declared 8th– 9th August 2017 public holidays so as to allow public servants and all Kenyans to participate in the General elections.
