Orange Prices Highest in Nakuru and Lowest in Kisumu

A 93-kilogram bag of oranges is currently retailing highest in Nakuru at 4,800 shillings and lowest in Kisumu at 3,000 shillings as the fruit continues to flood the market.

A 90-kilogram bag of avocado had the following market prices in selected towns across the country: 4,000 shillings in Mombasa, 2,300 shillings in Nairobi, 2,200 shillings in Nakuru, 2,000 shillings in Eldoret, 1,800 shillings in Kisumu, 1,400 shillings in Kitale and 500 shillings in Kisii.

A 98-kilogram bag of Sweet potatoes, on the other hand, was being sold as follows: 3,800 shillings in Nairobi, 3,700 shillings in Mombasa, 3,500 shillings in Nakuru, 3,000 shillings in Kisumu, 2,500 shillings in Kisii, 2,400 shillings in Eldoret and 2,100 shillings in Kitale.

Cassava was also available in most towns and the prices were as follows: 3,000 shillings in Mombasa and Kisumu respectively, 2,400 shillings in Nairobi and 2,300 shillings in Kitale.
