Chief Justice David Maraga Makes it to the Top 100 Most Influential Africans

Kenya’s Chief Justice David Maraga is among the top 100 most influential Africans according to the New African Magazine.

Media personality Julie Gichuru and lawyer Patrick Lumumba Otieno (PLO) have also made it to the list.

In the announcement by the New African Magazine, Kenya scooped at least 10 slots, with a representation in most of the listed categories.

CJ Maraga has made to the list after delivering a landmark ruling that nullified a presidential election in Kenya that had been conducted on 8th of August 2017.

Member of Parliament for Ijara Sophia Abdi Noor has also made it to the list. She is the first woman from the North Eastern to be elected to parliament.

Other Kenyans include Pro. Ruth Oniang’o, the MD and CEO of Centum Investments James Mworia, the co-founder of Med in Africa Yvonne Mburu, the 5000 meters World Champion Elijah Manangoi and the new 1500 meters sensation to watch Hellen Obiri and double champion Faith Kipyegon.
