Dry Maize Retailing Highest in Kisumu at Ksh 3,600  and Lowest in Nakuru

Dry maize is retailing at an average market price of 3,000 shillings across the country with the highest price being 3,600 shillings in Kisumu for a 90-kilogram bag while the lowest price being 2,300 shillings in Nakuru.

A 115-kilogram bag of green maize, on the other hand, is being sold as follows: 4,400 shillings in Mombasa, 2,600 in Kisumu, 2,500 shillings in Imenti, 2,000 shillings in Kitale, 1,600 shillings in Eldoret and 1,500 shillings in Nakuru.

Here is a summary of the same:

A 90-kilogram bag of Njahi is retailing as follows in selected towns: 11,250 shillings, 10,800 shillings in Kitale, 9,000 shillings in Imenti, 7,200 shillings in Nakuru, 5,830 shillings in Mombasa and 5,000 shillings in Nairobi.

A 110-kilogram bag of groundnuts has the following market prices: 14,300 shillings in Kitale, 14,000 shillings in Mombasa, 12,000 shillings in Nakuru, 11,250 shillings in Nakuru, 11,000 shillings in Nairobi and 10,000 shillings in Kisumu.
