Switzerland is the most innovative economy in the world according to the 2016 Global Innovation Index.

According to the Index, Switzerland has a score of 66.28 putting it ahead of both the United States America as the most powerful in terms of innovation.

The Index is usually compiled by the World Intellectual Property Organization, Cornell University in the United States.
