Raila Amolo Odinga the National Super Alliance (NASA) was sworn in as the ‘People’s President’ on Tuesday evening.

“I Raila Amollo Odinga in full realisation of the higher calling assume the office of the People’s Republic of Kenya…”

Raila termed the day as ‘Historic day in Kenya’s Republic’ saying they had fulfilled their promise to the people of Kenya.

“For the first time in our history, people have gathered here to say enough is enough to kleptocracy. A people united can never be defeated,” said Raila.

However, he said his Co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka would be sworn in at a later day together with the other co-principals – Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.

Earlier in a live telephone interview with the Kenya Television Network (KTN) he said president Uhuru Kenyatta was not duly elected during the repeat elections.

“Duly elected my foot. The October 26 vote was a sham of an election and that is what annoys Kenyans. We must have a government that has the support of the people,” he said.
