Safaricom Limited carried the day as the top mover of the day at the NSE on Wednesday.
The telecommunication company posted a volume of 8.89 million shares with a market capitalization of 1.18 trillion.
Equity Bank Group was the second top mover of the day having posted a volume of 4.88 million shares with a market capitalization of 162.27 billion.
Kenya Commercial Bank, Mumias Sugar Company, and KenolKobil posted a volume of 179 million, 926,900 and 793,800 shares respectively with a market capitalization of 139.50, 1.53 and 21.78 billion respectively.
The top laggard of the day was Sanlam Kenya with a loss of 4.27 percent followed by Olympia Capital with 2.94 percent loss.
Standard Chartered Bank, TPS Eastern Africa (Serena) and Total Kenya lost 2.43, 2.08 and 1.92 percent respectively.
Nairobi Business Ventures was the top gainer of the day with 7.55 percent followed by Eveready East Africa and Trans-Century with 6.98 and 6.19 percent respectively.
Kenya Power and Lighting and HF Group gained 4.68 and 3.79 percent respectively at the price of 8.95 and 10.95 shillings per share respectively.
