Sauti Sol, Kenya’s Afro-pop band featuring Nigeria’s Tiwatope Savage-Balogun, better known by her stage name Tiwa Savage on Wednesday released their second song in LP African Sauce titled “Girl Next Door”.
This year, Sauti Sol “We will be dropping dope collabos from around the continent every month till November this year.”
Their latest hit played safe after their first song “Melanin” that features Nigerian dancehall heavyweight Patoranking received the wrath from the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) who said the video was unsuitable for children as it contains scenes with intense nudity and obscenity.
“The Board takes great exception with Sauti Sol’s decision to release the video without following content production and distribution regulations provided in Part II of the Film and Stage Plays Act, Cap 222 of the Law of Kenya,” read part of the statement.
Anyway, it is time to forget ‘Melanin’ and start having that nostalgic feeling after listening to “Girl Next Door”.
Produced by Maleek Berry, the song is addictive about two lost lovers trying to relish their good and best memories of the girl next door.
