KenolKobil Takes the Lead as Top Mover at the NSE on Wednesday

KenolKobil was the top mover of the day at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday.

The company posted a volume of 16.26 million shares with a market capitalization of 22.15 billion.

NIC Bank was the second top mover with 3.47 million shares and a market capitalization of 22.88 billion.

Safaricom Limited and Equity Group came in as third and fourth top movers of the day with 3.09 and 3.03 million shares respectively.

Co-operative Bank of Kenya closed the top five movers’ table with 1.48 million shares with a market capitalization of 100.04 billion.

The top gainer of the day was Olympia Capital with 10.00 percent at the price of 3.30 shillings per share.

East African Portland Cement and Unga Group gained 7.69 and 5.77 percent respectively at the price of 28.00 and 41.25 shillings per share respectively.

Liberty Kenya and Deacons (East Africa) gained 2.83 and 1.72 percent respectively at the price of 12.70 and 2.95 shillings per share respectively.

The top loser of the day was Nairobi Securities Exchange with 10.00 percent at the price of 18.00 shillings per share.

Sasini Tea, Standard Group, and Sameer Africa lost 8.41, 5.88 and 5.66 percent respectively at the price of 24.50, 32.00 and 2.50 shillings per share respectively.

Uchumi Supermarket lost 3.08 percent at the price of 3.15 shillings per share.
